The trumpet mouthpiece designed with Javier “Gordo” Gordillo, a musician with character, energy, and a playing style as personal as it is unmistakable.

With Gordo, everything started very naturally. From the beginning, we connected through music, the desire to create, and the good vibes he always transmits. After months of working with him, we have achieved a mouthpiece with the exact specifications that reflect his playing style. At musicRioja, we make it available to any musician who wants to play with the same model.

Design with CFD Technology

The internal geometry of this mouthpiece has been optimized using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, ensuring efficient airflow and the best comfort when playing:

Fully personalized, with a wide grain and cup designed to offer a powerful, direct emission with a strong character. A mouthpiece designed for those seeking a sound with presence, attitude, and freedom. Inner width 16.85mm.

Materials and manufacturing

Manufactured using 3D printing with high-precision thermoplastic polymer, certified safe for skin contact. The rim is completely smooth and polished, ensuring soft, comfortable, and safe contact during prolonged use. Unlike metal mouthpieces, it reduces the risk of irritation with prolonged contact.

About Javier Gordillo

Originally from Majadahonda and a summer visitor to Sigüenza, Javier “Gordo” Gordillo began his musical journey in the late 90s as a guitarist in punk bands. The melodies of Skalariak and the festive atmosphere of the San Fermín brass bands awakened in him a passion for brass wind instruments, leading him to discover his true voice: the trumpet.

Today, he combines his role as a musician with that of a backliner for different artists, participating in projects such as Txarangutanes, the Big Band, and various groups with which he has shared emblematic stages such as La Riviera, with The Cat Empire, or ViñaRock, accompanying the emerging artist Grex.

From the beginning of musicRioja, Gordo showed enormous confidence and enthusiasm, actively participating in the development of his own model. Together with Txarangutanes, he brought our creations to Dani Martínez's show Martínez y Hermanos, where his sound and personality shone brightly.

This Signature is a tribute to Gordo's passion for music and the bond that unites us: the shared enthusiasm for creating, enjoying, and continuing to sound a little louder every day.
